The CottagesBoth the holiday cottages are original buildings within the grounds. The Bothy was deer larder, used for the hanging of the day's shoot. The Granary, located in the main courtyard was part of the farm buildings. Refurbished completely, both have since been continually updated to an exacting high standard, sympathetic to both the original structure and their location in the Highlands. The Bothy is set at a higher level than the access road and so has elevated views of both the grounds and Loch Ness. It is the perfect hide-away for that romantic break. With an open plan design to the living and kitchen area; it is well equipped with all the necessary for those 'master-chef' days. For those colder evening there is a beautiful log burning stove.The mezanine sleeping area has a luxurous king-sized bed. The well appointed shower and toilet, will not dissappoint. And to make things even better, there is no TV or WiFi, so you really can get away from it all. An initial supply of logs is left and a charge for any further logs required will be made. The Granary
The Granary is set in the cobbled courtyard of the main farm house and flanks the western side. It was created in 2013. Access to the accommodation is through the main door that leads directly into the beautifully equipped kitchen/diner. There is a double bedroom, with a separate family 'his and hers' showers on the ground floor. An open plan stairway leads up to the lounge, dining area on the first floor. There is also a quiet reading area, that diverifies the extent to which this holiday home has been so thoughtfully renovated. Here you will find the master bedroom with 'his and hers' en suite shower. Both double rooms offer luxury king-sized beds. The third bedroom on the ground floor has private access from the rear of the property, with a possibility of allowing teenage members of the family their own entrance; hence the four plus two description. The decor and refurbishment of the Granary and the maintaining of its original features is testament to the exquisite taste and luxury standards, you can expect from this delightful holiday destination. There is no television in the property, but WiFi is available for those that need to stay in touch. |
